Ashley King is one of the newest members of the WIVK family. It all started at the Arkansas theme park, Dogpatch U.S.A. Ashley’s Dad, a drummer, and her Mom, a singer and dancer in the shows, met and the rest is history. Ashley can thank her parent’s love for country music and Daisy Mae for her existence! She was born and raised in small town Arkansas. So she knows exactly what fellow Arkansan Justin Moore’s talking about when he says “Small Town U.S.A.”. But don’t worry; she’s not a Hog Fan! Broadcasting runs in Ashley’s family. Growing up, she spent most of her afternoons at her Father’s radio station. There she spent time in the production room “playing radio” with her Dad’s 45 records. Ashley didn’t really get into the radio biz until her college days at Arkansas State University. Ashley married a boy from Alcoa and that’s what brought her to beautiful East Tennessee in 2001. Now she’s kicking up her heels and playing great country music on WIVK. Ashley has a passion for radio, country music, dancing and meeting new and interesting people. She is proud of her 3 music loving daughters Maddie, Avery and Laney. Ashley loves to travel and thinks Kenny Chesney has the right idea about the beach.
