Davis Allen Cripe, a 16 year old high school student from South Carolina, collapsed in his classroom on April 26 and was pronounced dead an hour later. He died from a caffeine-induced cardiac event after consuming a latte, Diet Mountain Dew, and energy drink within a two-hour period.
