Softball Central: Lady Vols at the SEC Tournament

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee begins its quest for a third SEC Championship in program history this week as the No. 7/8 Lady Vols travel to Columbia, Mo. for the SEC Tournament.

The Lady Vols (44-11, 14-10) will enjoy a first-round bye after earning the tournament’s No. 4 seed. UT will play its first game on Thursday, May 10, when it takes on the winner of No. 5-seeded LSU and No. 12-seeded Ole Miss at Mizzou Softball Stadium.

  • Kaitlin Lee has a 2.28 earned run average on the season and carries a 16-11 record into the tournament. Lee was the MVP of the 2017 SEC Tournament after leading the Rebels to a conference championship.
  • Ole Miss took two of three games from Georgia in a series last week to clinch a berth in the SEC Tournament.
