TDOT Alerting Drivers to a Long-Term Road Closure Project in Cocke and Greene Counties

The Tennessee Department of Transportation say motorists traveling on State Route 35 (US 321) in Cocke and Greene Counties should be aware of an upcoming lane closure that will have an impact on traffic.

Beginning Tuesday State Route 35 (US 321) will be closed at the intersection of State Route 160 and Old Greeneville Highway to just west of the intersection of St. Tide Hollow Road and Old Greeneville Highway.

This will allow for the construction tie-in of existing State Route 35 (US 321) to the proposed State Route 35 Newport Bypass.

This traffic pattern is expected to be in place until December 2023.
