Everything is back to normal at McGhee Tyson Airport following a potential threat in the parking garage that had been called into the Blount County 911 Center.
Becky Huckaby, Vice President of Public Relations at the airport says that around 8:30am this morning, they received a call alerting their Department of Public Safety of that threat and along with local emergency response agencies, they worked through their security processes.
Huckaby says multiple sweeps of the area and parking garage were conducted and as of 10 a.m. the parking garage is back open.
Flights were not impacted.
