An investigation by the Church Hill Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Kingsport Police Department results in the indictment of a Kingsport man in connection to an overdose death.
The investigation into the death of James “Jimmy” Barham, III who was found dead in his home along West Main Boulevard in Church Hill on March 25, 2022. His death was determined to be caused by the toxic effects of fentanyl and other drugs.
Authorities determined that William White was involved in distributing the fentanyl that caused Barham’s death.
A Hawkins County Grand Jury returned indictments charging White with one count of Second Degree Murder and related drug charges, he was arrested on a $150,000 bond.
