Sevierville, TN (WOKI) UPDATE: A motorcyclist is seriously injured and an investigation is underway following a crash Wednesday night on Dolly Parton Parkway.
Sevierville Police say the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. when 23-year-old James Gibson was riding on the Parkway and collided with a pickup truck driven by 86-year-old Brownie Campbell who had turned onto the roadway from Cherokee Circle.
Gibson was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment.
The crash shut down the roadway, but it reopened just before 9:00 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital; their condition has not been released.
