Blount County Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash, Police Say

Oak Ridge, TN (WOKI) A Blount County man is the victim of a single-vehicle crash Thursday night in Oak Ridge.

City of Oak Ridge officials say Oak Ridge Police Department officers responded to the 200-block of Lafayette Drive after receiving a call about an erratic driver around 8:51 p.m., and then a crash reported just minutes later at 8:53 p.m.

When officers arrived around 8:55 p.m., they began life-saving measures on 34-year-old William F. Alldis of Louisville assisted by the Oak Ridge Fire Department and Anderson County Emergency Medical Services.

Despite the intervention of first responders, Alldis was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
