A Teen Injured in Rollover Crash in Grainger County

A teen lucky to be alive after a single vehicle crash in Grainger County.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol along with several agencies responding to a on Lakeshore Drive at Sam Heim Road Saturday afternoon. The preliminary investigation shows a 17-year-old driving a Ford Expedition south on Lakeshore Drive tried to negotiate a curve before running off the right side of the road and struck a tree and rolled over before coming to rest.

The injured teen was wearing a seatbelt and THP says no charges will be filed.

The extent of the teen’s injuries are unknown.
