Knoxville, TN (WOKI) Much like Knox County, the City of Knoxville is also asking for your input to guide the disbursement of future federal funding.
The request for public input is a part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant. The city has to create what’s called a Five-Year Consolidated Plan to outline how it plans to allocate those federal funds.
“More than 600 residents have been involved and let us know their priorities and which local needs they want to support,” Housing and Neighborhood Development Director Kevin DuBose said. “We’ve been listening to the community about housing and other community needs for a long time, and I’m eager to continue this conversation through the next public meetings and input opportunities.”
You can provide your input at a public meeting scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on January 28 at the city’s Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Avenue.
If you cannot attend the meeting, you can correspond with the city directly to offer your input either via email at [email protected] or send a note to:
