Oak Ridge Officials Identify Woman who Died in House Fire

Oak Ridge, TN (WOKI) Authorities in Oak Ridge have identified the woman who died last week following a house fire on Sheridan Circle.

Officials say firefighters were able to rescue 92-year-old Nancy Santos from the home, but she died after being taken to UT Medical Center. The city says the fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. on January 16 and that Santos’ daughter was in the home at the time of the fire and was able to get out and call 911.

There were also 10 cats and two dogs in the home at the time of the fire. A representative for the City of Oak Ridge says only three cats survived after being rescued.
