Knoxville, TN (WOKI) UPDATE 2/20: A man wanted in connection to Wednesday’s fatal shooting at an East Knoxville apartment complex is now in custody.
Knoxville Police Department officials say 19-year-old Tyzeek Wallace turned himself in to police Thursday afternoon. He is facing a second-degree murder charge in the death Wednesday of 21-year-old Christopher Taylor at the Pinnacle Park Apartments on Hall of Fame Drive.
Investigators determined that Wallace shot Taylor in the parking lot of the complex for reasons that are still under investigation before leaving the scene.
UPDATE: Tyzeek Wallace, 19, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to a deadly shooting that happened on Wednesday afternoon at the Pinnacle Park Apartment complex.
At around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a parking lot of the Pinnacle Park Apartments on Hall of Fame Drive on a report of a shooting with a victim. Officers quickly arrived on scene and located a man who had been shot. The victim, identified as 21-year-old Christopher Taylor, was transported to the UT Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
Responding officers and detectives were able to determine that the suspect vehicle was an Infiniti sedan registered to Wallace. Through continued investigation, it was determined that Wallace shot Taylor for reasons that remain under investigation before leaving the scene. Detectives have since obtained a warrant charging Wallace with second-degree murder.
Efforts remain ongoing to locate Wallace, who is pictured. He is believed to be driving the pictured Infiniti.
