Cumberland County, TN (WOKI) Skeletal remains found earlier this month in Cumberland County have been identified as those belonging to a man missing since 2022.
Officials with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office confirming Monday the remains found February 8 on Westel Road were 33-year-old Cody Ramsey-Dearing.
According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUS), Ramsey-Dearing was last seen August 15, 2022 at 1872 Westel Road; first responders found Ramsey-Dearing’s remains on the same roadway near the entrance of the Mount Roosevelt Wildlife Management Area.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation also responded to the scene, CCSO said, and investigators took the remains for analysis.
A possible cause of death has not been released.
