Knoxville, TN (WOKI) A convicted felon with outstanding warrants in Indiana, now faces up to 12 years in prison following a one-day trial on charges in Knox County.
The Knox County DA’s Office says 36-year-old Buddy Livesay was found guilty of unlawful possession of a weapon by a violent felon, evading arrest and criminal impersonation in connection to his flight from a traffic stop in June 2024.
Deputies stopped Livesay on a motorcycle in South Knoxville where he showed false identification before fleeing. After a brief pursuit, Livesay crashed his motorcycle and ran into nearby woods, dropping a vest containing two handguns.
His sentencing is set for April 12.
