An investigation is underway by the Tennessee Highway Patrol in Cocke County following an accident involving a school bus.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in yesterday afternoon’s (Tuesday) crash.
According to the Cocke County Schools Assistant Director, a bus from Edgemont Elementary School was running its after school route when a woman driving a pickup truck had a medical issue and hit a car before crashing into the back of the bus.
THP says 28 students were on the bus at the time of the crash. The driver of the truck could face charges pending the outcome of the investigation.
