Knoxville, TN (WOKI) An 11-year-old is arrested Wednesday after a bomb threat was reported at Halls Middle School.
Officials with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office say students and staff were evacuated Wednesday from the school after a verbal threat. Halls High School was also placed on lockdown.
KCSO says the student was arrested on a charge of threat of mass violence at Halls Middle School.
Following the Covenant School Shooting, the Tennessee General Assembly passed a law making it a Class E felony to threaten mass violence against a school or on school property. The law went into effect July 1, 2024.
