Knoxville, TN (WOKI) Sean Finnegan, the Oak Ridge man sentenced to death in a grisly rape and murder case, is sentenced Friday morning to an additional 45 years.
Finnegan was convicted of several charges, including first-degree murder, rape and abuse of a corpse, in August. The charges stemmed from a 2020 investigation, during which police said Finnegan and his girlfriend, Rebecca Dishman, held 36-year-old Jennifer Paxton inside their home, torturing and raping her for days before finally killing her.
Senior Judge Don Ash imposed the additional time for other counts of which Finnegan had been convicted in connection with Paxton’s murder, including rape and kidnapping.
