Pigeon Forge, TN (WOKI) UPDATE 3/11: Just days ahead of the park’s opening for the 2025 season, the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration is preparing to inspect Dollywood.
Officials with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development confirming Tuesday TOSHA’s impending visit which comes after an employee was injured at Dollywood Monday and airlifted to a nearby hospital.

The park’s opening day is slated for Friday, when season pass holders are invited to the park. All ticket holders can visit the park starting Saturday.
ORIGINAL STORY: An “incident” at Dollywood injures an employee Monday morning.
Dollywood representatives confirming an employee got hurt, prompting onsite paramedics to respond. They say the employee was then flown to a nearby hospital.
“Dollywood confirms that an incident at the park earlier today resulted in an employee injury,” said Dollywood Public Relations Director Wes Ramey. “Onsite paramedics responded and the employee was airlifted to a nearby medical facility. At this time, our priority is supporting our employee and gathering information. An update will be provided if information becomes available to share.”
