Sevier County Crews Contain Brush Fire That Burned 30 to 40 Acres, Sevierville City Officials Say

Sevier County, TN (WOKI) UPDATE 2:30 p.m.: Crews in Sevier County responding Wednesday to a 30 to 40-acre brush fire outside the city of Sevierville.

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture say the fire broke out just before noon near Red Bank Circle, which is roughly half a mile outside the city of Sevierville.

As of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, crews on site confirm that the fire is 100% contained, adding that they are setting up fire sensors and monitoring for any flareups.

City of Sevierville officials report that the fire burned sage brush but did not damage any structures.
