Oliver Springs, TN (WOKI) An investigation is underway following a deadly shooting Monday in Oliver Springs.
Officials with the Oliver Springs Police Department say their agency together with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating the shooting which occurred just before midnight at a home on Kingston Avenue.
OSPD says when officers arrived at the scene, they found a 34-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds who was later pronounced dead at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
At this time, authorities say it appears the person who shot the victim acted in self-defense; however, they are awaiting the results of the autopsy to make a final determination.
The victim was not identified.
