Knox County, TN (WOKI) – UPDATE 3:15 p.m.: A one-mile evacuation order for the area near the site of an earlier overturned propane truck which caught fire briefly on E. Emory Road has now been lifted.
Officials with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office making that announcement as Rural Metro fire crews have righted the truck and are off-loading the propane.
E. Emory Road at Foster to Corryton Road remains closed at this time.
Also, as a precaution, KUB has cut power to the area while crews continue their work. Officials say power will be restored as soon as conditions are safe for the public and emergency responders.

KCSO says the fire is now out but Patrol units will have Emory Road at Foster to Corryton Road shut down for an extended period.
The homes have been evacuated from Foster Road near the accident scene, and all others are sheltering in place at this time.

This, after Rural Metro Fire responded to a crashed truck carrying propane.
“The propane is not involved at this time but Rural Metro officials say you should. “AVOID THIS AREA!”
The truck itself is on fire, according to Rural Metro’s Jeff Bagwell, He added that Corryton Elementary School, which is within that one-mile radius, is sheltering in place.
