Newport, TN (WOKI) An investigation is underway by the Newport Police Department after more than $20,000 in jewelry was stolen from Walmart.
NPD officials report three men went inside the store just before 11:00 p.m. on March 8 and that a witness told officers the men broke the lock to the jewelry case.
NPD says they proceeded to take over $20,500 worth of jewelry before leaving the store in a black car, heading south on Cosby Highway.
No arrests have been made, and additional information has not been released.
