Jamey Johnson was arrested on Sunday night (November 17) in Williamson County, Tennessee, after a state trooper pulled the country singer over for speeding and apparently found marijuana in the car. According to court filings, Johnson was charged with violating Tennessee law prohibiting possession of between half an ounce and 10 ounces of marijuana “with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell the controlled substance.” The charge is a Class E felony, and if convicted, Johnson faces penalties ranging from one to six years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines. The 49-year-old outlaw country star was allegedly driving 87 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone, and the state trooper found several bags of marijuana and pre-rolled joints in his car. Johnson just released his new album, Midnight Gasoline, on November 8, his first new studio record in 14 years. (Rolling Stone)
