On Tuesday (March 25), Maren Morris announced the release date and details of her upcoming fourth studio album, Dreamsicle, which will be out on May 9. The country singer will also share her new single, “Carry Me Through,” on March 27, which Morris says is “the first taste” from the album, her first full-length since 2022’s Humble Quest. Dreamsicle features 14 tracks, opening with “Lemonade” and closing with “Holy Smoke,” while also including “Cut!” with Julia Michaels, and “I Hope I Never Fall in Love,” which appeared on Morris’ 2024 EP, Intermission. “It represents a lot of influences, a lot of leaps of faith — just true artistic freedom, which is what I’ve always wanted, and I’ve had, but not in this way, where it’s dovetailing with my personal life freedom,” Morris recently told Elle about the album. “I’ve gotten to wear many hats in my career, but with my own personal project upcoming, there are no training wheels. I’m being my truest, most secure self.” (Rolling Stone)
